  1. Thank you very much for this post! I’ve been reading your articles for some time and I really like them. But this one is amazing! You have just given me the last kick to start our night weaning. I haven’t had a big lack of sleep as we co-sleep but I would like to sleep entire night again. I hope you will be set soon and sleep like a baby again!

    1. Patricia, sleeping the entire night…such a distant memory, isn’t it? But we can get back there again!

I’m happy that Abby’s wake-up call gave you the little nudge you needed too. :-)

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and share your experience. I’d love to hear how your night weaning adventure goes!

  2. I remember these days so well, and that realization that my parenting decisions needed to be based on what BOTH of my kids needed now, not just one. I’m so glad to hear Bailey is sleeping better for you…and that your wine was ok. ;)

    1. Ellie, yes, thank goodness the wine wasn’t spoiled! I didn’t get to drink a glass that night, but I made up for it later, haha.

Thank you for stopping by to share your thoughts! It SO helps to hear from a mama who’s been there before. :-)

It’s such a relief to know that I’m 1) not the only mom who still nurses her baby at night and 2) that my baby isn’t the only baby who gets angry angry when he wakes up in the middle of the night and isn’t nursed back to sleep and 3) that the decision to night wean is hard a one (but probably necessary) to make. Thank you for posting sharing your experience and in so much detail…now my husband and I have something to go off of! I hope Bailey is still sleeping and you are still smiling!
