  2. I’d like to add “How Sweet it Is” by James Taylor. Such a great song!

Phil Collins – You’ll Be in My Heart
I sung this song throughout my pregnancy to my little man.

    1. Araceli, I’m so glad to hear this list was useful to you in your shower planning! I love that you sang the same song to your little guy while you were pregnant. And what a sweet song! The song I’ve always sung to Bailey is much less inventive – Hush Little Baby. :-)

  8. mamas song by carrie underwood makes me think of my sweet little girl growing up

  9. Was making a list of my own and needed some more ideas, and your playlist is exactly what I’m going for. A few I already had (some not as contemporary as others, but I still dig ’em):
The Mamas and Papas rendition of Dream a Little Dream is my favorite. I sing it to my stinker bell every night.
Ray Lamontagne- Hold You in My Arms
    Ronettes- Be My Baby
    Elton John- Your Song

    1. Amy, thank you for adding more to our ongoing list! Also, I just love that you call your little one stinkerbelle. I use that one too! :-)

    Edward Sharpe – Home
Michael Buble – Dream a Little Dream
But I only thought of these after your inspiration! Thanks again!

Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson always reminds me of my kids. :)

  19. Here’s a song just released on iTunes in November: “Father Daughter Song It’s Your World” by yours truly, Jimmy Wendt. Rockin’ upbeat song dedicated to my two amazing girls. The lyrics start with:

    Welcome home, glad you’re here.
It’s a fragile world but have no fear.
I will love you all that I can.
Look up at me, squeeze my hand…

    Enjoy.

  34. Ohh, cool week! Thanks for sharing that! I think prior to the last “storm” I went through, I have always felt hopeless during those harder times. But I’ve had some break through’s and now I understand how this all works. Hard times come but they don’t last forever. I can appreciate the harder times now because I know there’s A LOT to learn during them too!
