Once upon a time, I read more than 100 books every year. I was basically Hermione Granger.
I kept a spreadsheet with titles, dates finished, my ratings, and charts. SO MANY CHARTS.
Which left very little time for reading.
Back in the Saddle
Lately, I’ve been trying to get back into the habit of reading. I’ll go through a streak of reading several books in one month, then read nothing for the next three months.
A couple days ago, I finished a lovely book called What Alice Forgot.
If you haven’t heard of the book, it’s about a woman who’s going through a divorce and a nasty custody battle for her three children. One day, she falls at the gym, bumps her head, and loses the last 10 years of her memory.
She thinks she’s still pregnant with her first child and madly in love with her husband.
Here’s my favorite What Alice Forgot quote:
But in a fun way so I didn’t realize I was going all Aristotle.
